Useful Links

Here is a list of a few websites that I think may be useful for you and your child.  I’ll try to update these as regularly as I can. Enjoy!

The online versions of the stories can be found in the ‘Learn to Read‘ section of the site.  Print versions of the books can be found here.
This is a really useful website to show children how to ‘sound out’ words by using their knowledge of the Jolly Phonics programme.  The movies and illustrations also motivate the children to read the text.
Even if the children do not read all of the books in this website, reading 2 or 3 stories will do wonders for both their confidence and decoding skills.

Literacy

A lovely website with books and stories online for the children to read with their parents.
A nice website to practice letter sounds and reading simple words.

Another website that practices phonics in a fun and enjoyable manner.

Maths
This website has various different minigames that help children develop some of their early mathematical skills – matching, sorting, estimating, classifying.
